Tempered Glass Description
Tempered glass, also known as toughened glass, is a type of safety glass processed through controlled thermal or chemical treatments. Unlike ordinary float glass, it undergoes a special quenching process-heating to around 620ºC and then rapidly cooling with air jets-which modifies its internal structure to enhance performance.
Its core advantages lie in superior strength and safety: it boasts 3-5 times higher impact resistance than regular glass, and when broken, it shatters into small, rounded granular pieces instead of sharp, jagged shards, minimizing injury risks. Additionally, it exhibits excellent thermal stability, withstanding temperature differences of up to 200-300ºC, far beyond the 70-90ºC limit of ordinary glass.
Widely used in scenarios requiring safety and durability, it can be found in building facades, balcony railings, kitchen countertops, automotive windows, and electronic device screens. It also supports functional extensions, such as anti-fingerprint, anti-explosion, or heat-insulation coatings, to meet diverse application needs.

2. Once breakage occurs, the glass disintegrates into small cubical fragments, which are relatively harmless to human body.
